My name is Jeff Keast, and I am writing to you not just as a candidate for mayor but also as a lifelong Kankakee County resident who believes in the greatness of our community and the promise of a brighter future.
I was raised with the values of hard work, integrity, and service to others—principles that have guided my life as a third-generation business owner and union electrical contractor at Keast Electric. My wife Jenny and I have raised our three children here, and we're proud grandparents to Ava and Aiden. Our roots run deep in Bourbonnais, and I believe it's our duty to leave it better than we found it. But too often, leadership has been about maintaining power instead of moving forward with purpose. Bourbonnais deserves leadership that looks forward with optimism, not backward with complacency.
